The Oregon Statewide Mentoring Program links experienced childhood care and education professionals with practitioners seeking positive support, advice or guidance. Formerly managed by Portland State University, as of 2008 it is now a program of Oregon's Child Care Resource and Referral Network. The mentorships are coordinated by local R&Rs. Services provided can include assistance with:
* Applying for the Oregon Registry or Trainer Program * CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) * Contacting local colleges for information on early childhood classes * Other professional development opportunities * Expanding your child care program * Setting up a child care environment * Inclusive child care practices * Business skills
