| Description: |
The Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant Project seeks to enable stable and continued enrollment of children with social/emotional challenges in child care settings from birth to 5 years old. The project funds mental health consultants (MHCs) who provide training, consultation, and referrals to child care providers and the families they serve. MHCs are employed by local mental health or social service agencies at various project sites across the state. The Illinois Department of Human Services contracts with Chaddock, a child welfare agency, to administer the project. Updated August 2009 |
