Description:  The Iowa Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) is a training and consultation program for child care providers, parents, and other caregivers and family service providers. It is offered by Iowa Child Care Resource & Referral and funded by the Iowa Department of Human Services.

The PITC training is based on WestEd's PITC curriculum and Sonoma State University's Beginning Together curriculum. It consists of five 10-hour modules that emphasize the importance of relationships and attentive, responsive care in supporting early childhood intellectual development.

In addition to the training, Infant Toddler Specialists are available to provide consultation, techincal assistance, and information to caregivers of infants and toddlers.
