Description:
In response to a survey with several requests for more training on curriculum, the Infant/Toddler Task Force launched an Infant and Toddler Curriculum Day in 2003. That first conference was attended by 120 professionals representing family child care, center-based child care and administrators of child care programs from every county of New Hampshire, representing over 75 agencies. The attendees participated in a series of workshops, each based on a specific curriculum theme geared to the birth to 3 year-old child. Each attendee was presented with curriculum materials matched to six individual workshop themes; these materials, purchased with the CCDF Infant and Toddler quality earmark, were valued at over $1000 per participant. Infant/Toddler Curriculum Day has been held annually since 2003 - the 2009 theme was Social and Emotional Development for Infant and Toddlers and 70 people attended.
