First Connections is an online training curriculum for early childhood care and education personnel working with infants and toddlers, including those with special needs, primarily in home-based child care. The research-based curriculum consists of 5 sequential modules: Safe and Supportive Environments; Relationships and Responsive Interactions; Learning and Development; Relationships with Families; and Professonalism and Program Management. Providers who complete the curriculum may receive inservice clock hours or Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The curriculum was developed by the Nebraska Department of Education, Nebraska Education Telecommunications, and Nebraska Health and Human Services. Updated July 2009 |
