Description:  To become a certified Infant Toddler Trainer in Montana, a trainer must complete WestEd's Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers (PITC) and receive certification as a PITC trainer from WestEd. PITC instructor's training is offered through the University of Montana Western. Once certified, trainers must obtain annual advanced training in infant/toddler curriculum. Most PITC trainers in Montana are employed by the state's CCR&R agencies to offer regional PITC training to infant/toddler caregivers.
