Description:
Child Care Expulsion Prevention (CCEP) programs are funded through the Michigan Department of Human Services and the Michigan Department of Community Health and administered by various community health agencies and other stakeholders.
CCEP projects provide early childhood mental health professionals to consult with child care providers and parents of children under age 6 who are experiencing behavioral and emotional challenges that may result in their expulsion from their child care programs.
Consultants provide individualized observation and intervention, parent and staff coaching, counseling, and referral to other services as needed.
