| Description: |
The Child Care Warmline is a help line for child care givers in New Jersey. It provides practical, accurate information on health and behavior issues relating to children in child care. A pediatric nurse is available 7:30am to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday, to answer questions and/or refer to community resources when necessary. The automated section of the Warmline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; it contains nearly 200 pre-recorded messages. Information provided is limited to conditions not requiring a physician. In Essex County, NJ, the Warmline is available to parents as well. As many as 1,000 callers contact the nurses each year and more than 3,000 calls are received by the automated system. Updated June 2009 |
