| Description: |
Arkansas' Caregiver Certificate (CC) program was developed by the Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education by the University of Arkansas. CC offers professional development training for caregivers who have received the 20-hour Child Care Orientation Training (CCOT) Certificate. CCOT is a basic orientation training and is recommended for all child caregivers who have had no previous child care training. CC consists of six 15-hour classes which provide in-depth training in specialized areas. One of the six classes is "Child Development: Birth to Three". Training includes instruction in development, developmentally appropriate practice and inclusion. Upon completion of this course, child care professionals will have the skills and techniques required to care for infants and toddlers and provide a safe and stimulating environment.
